Board of Directors

Beaver Emergency Medical Services is the operating name for the legal corporate society known as Beaver Ambulance Society. Beaver Ambulance Society is a not-for-profit charitable organization, and is governed by a Board of Directors and an Executive Director. The Councils of Beaver County, Tofield, Viking, Ryley, and Holden each appoint one council member to the Beaver EMS Board. These municipal Councilors are selected at their individual organizational meetings, or as required. In addition, there is one "member-at-large" community member on the Board. This process is important to address local and regional interests, keep abreast of local issues, and maintain effective partnerships with neighbouring municipalities. Council members are expected to represent their municipalities at board and committee meetings, but are there to represent the collective interest of Beaver Ambulance Society.
